Three months after inking a deal to supply real-money online casino games from developer High 5 Games to operators across Europe and Canada on an exclusive basis and platform provider Nektan has now agreed to spend just over $646,000 in order to take complete control of its digital marketing arm.

Gibraltar-based Nektan operates over 75 online casino brands on a “white-label” basis and declared that its latest agreement will see it fully acquire Nektan Marketing Services from the man behind digital marketing firm ActiveWin Media Limited, Warren Jacobs, and Betfred founder Fred Done.

Late last week, Senator John Bonacic of New York revived efforts to legalize online poker in the state by introducing S-3898. The measure would amend current laws of the state to allow certain interactive poker games which would include Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hold’em, Bonacic is the chairman of the Senate’s Racing, Gaming and Wagering committee of which the bill has been referred to.

Bonacic introduced a similar bill last year, S-5302, but was unsuccessful. The bill was able to pass through the state Senate towards the end of the 2015-2016 legislative session but was not voted on by the state Assembly. This new measure, S-3898, would allow as many as 11 online poker licenses to be obtained with licensees obligated to already operate a class III gaming venue or video lottery…...

British sportsbetting and iGaming software innovator FSB Technology Limited has announced that the Nevada Gaming Control Board has this week awarded it with a manufacturers and information services provider license.

The London-headquartered enterprise used an official press release to describe the unanimous decision by the three-member body as ‘another major step in its North American journey’ that is destined to allow it to begin supplying partners in Nevada with a large range of sports wagering services. The firm also explained that the Wednesday verdict came as part of the regulator’s latest public hearing and less than a month after it received a similar green light from the South Dakota Commission on Gaming.

For months now, daily fantasy sports fans have been awaiting a big merger between the two top providers of contests, FanDuel and DraftKings. The merger has faced regulatory hurdles along the way and after revealing that investors may have to provide more funds for the company, FanDuel CEO Nigel Eccles has now provided information that casts even more doubt that the merger will take place.

The CEO was recently interviewed by Recode and the details of that interview published yesterday. Eccles stated in the interview that FanDuel was evaluating their options which includes walking away from the deal with DraftKings if the Federal Trade Commission cannot be convinced that the merger will decrease competition within the daily fantasy sports marketplace.
